TORCHLIGHT HIKE
The special nighttime experience
Departure is late in the afternoon from the meeting place at the Valisera cableway. From there, ride together to the half-way station, where you will visit the cosy Gäßbarga restaurant to treat your palate and fill up on energy for the nighttime hike to follow. The hike begins at dusk. Experience the special atmosphere of burning torches in the moonlight as you make your way up Garfrescha. At the top, there are two possibilities for a nice ending to the torchlight hike: ride the 2-seater chairlift or take the illuminated Garfrescha nighttime toboggan down into the valley. (Toboggans can be rented at the Garfrescha cableway summit station.)

Romantic torchlight hike in the valley
Enjoy Vandans by night!
A romantic torchlight hike is held through the village of Vandans every Tuesday at 8.30 pm (min. 5 people). Depending on the weather, guests walk along the bank of the Ill towards the Venser Bild pilgrimage church or to the reservoirs in Rodund.
The guests are accompanied by torch guide Ulrike Bitschnau, who is happy to tell you a few things about our village and customs in the Montafon. The hike is free of charge for guests with the Montafon Guest Card.
The Vandans tourism office (Tel. +43 (0)5556/72660) accepts bookings until 12.00 noon each Tuesday.
