Pedalling for all your worth while exploring the incomparable landscape of the Montafon is a pure delight for all sporty, active holiday-goers.

In a large-scale campaign, all the mountain biking routes in the Montafon were given new signage and a free bike folder was created. With 860 km of mountain bike routes - from easy-going routes to carry sections for mountain bike freaks - the Montafon offers a biking scene that begs to be conquered. Over 600 signs point the way along the individual stretches and guarantee pure enjoyment on a mountain bike holiday.

You can also buy the NEW MOUNTAIN BIKE GUIDE at any tourism office. In this guide, you will find 28 different tours ranging from easy (blue) to intermediate (red) to hard (black).

The path network was developed in cooperation with the Mountainbike Club Montafon. The same three-colour system as for ski slopes was used to rate the routes: blue routes for beginners, red for advanced and black routes, as the most challenging paths, may well include carry sections

The mountain bike routes can generally be accessed from any town in Montafon.

In the N 2000 region, only the approved and marked routes may be travelled by mountain bikes - as is generally the case. The N 2000 region is open from 7.00 am to 8.00 pm In the Silbertal, the mountain bike routes may be travelled from 16 June to 15 September during the hours from 7.00 am to 8.00 pm

NEU: Fahrradmitnahme bei Bussen

Ab diesem Jahr ist es erstmals möglich, Fahrräder in den öffentlichen Bussen im Montafon zu transportieren. Die Verladung muss vom Fahrgast selbst erfolgen. Die Kosten betragen € 7,- für eine Tageskarte. Das ganze ist vom 1.6. bis 31.10.2013 möglich und ist ein Pilotprojekt. Ein Transport von E-Bikes ist NICHT möglich. Es gibt keine Mitnahmegarantie, da die Plätze limitiert sind (5-6 pro Bus).
