Gargellner backpack reading

Teatro Caprile creates an evening full of poetry and literature.
Not only the Montafon cabbage cutters, the scythe dealers or the gleaners moved away from the barren Montafon in the past, be it seasonally or permanently. It also lured the creative spirits of the valley out into the world. When they returned home, their rucksack was full of sketches and notes that brought new images, knowledge or sounds to the Montafon.
The teatro caprile is well known to the people of Montafon and their guests for its extraordinary productions in special locations. First and foremost, one thinks of her performance “Auf der Flucht”, which was awarded the “Vorarlberg Prize for Innovation in Tourism” and attracted attention far beyond the country's borders. In the “rucksack reading” of the teatro caprile we experience a literary evening with and about Gargellen and the rest of the world. Finds from poetry and prose about the beginnings of tourism, thoughts on traveling and hiking, descriptions of a rural climatic health resort à la Davos by the rediscovered ethnographer Lucie Varga as well as texts by Franz Werfel and Jura Soyfer - the latter escaped via the Montafon to the Switzerland dared, unfortunately with a tragic outcome, as well as the love letters from Ninon Dolbin (from the Hotel Madrisa) to her future husband Hermann Hesse.
This scenic-musical reading is presented by the teatro caprile with Katharina Grabher, Andreas Kosek and Mark Német, supported by the Nuevo Jazztett and is set in the modern architecture of the valley station of the Gargellner Bergbahnen.
