“We have a beautiful panorama trail on the Kristberg that is freshly groomed every day. It is also important to us that we also do campaigns that support children in Vorarlberg." This idea resulted in the first "cross-country charity" in 2015, reports Jürgen Zudrell, the managing director of the Montafon Kristbergbahn.
"It's very uncomplicated: Just come by and cross-country ski - without registering. Every kilometer that is run between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the 9.3 km long panorama trail is worth 3.00 euros to us! And of course there is no entry fee for this event!” emphasizes the organizer.
The total amount, which will be raised on Saturday, March 4th, 2023, will be donated in full to the social institution "Netz für Kinder". "Because our youngest guests are particularly important to us," says Jürgen Zudrell and is looking forward to numerous participants.
Free rental equipment
Anyone who does not have their own cross-country skiing equipment or would like to try cross-country skiing for the first time on this day can rent equipment (provided by the Silbertal snow sports school and the Kristberg panorama inn) directly at the mountain station of the Montafon Kristbergbahn, where the start of the 9, 3 km long panorama trail is available for hire. A heated changing room with a wardrobe is available for all participants at the mountain station of the Montafon Kristbergbahn. There are also two waxing spots on the route.
