Kristberg and Silbertal can look back on a rich history that has left its mark on the entire region. On the Silbi trail, we will walk on snowshoes pasing St. Agatha miners’ chapel and go up to the Kristbergsattel and Silbertal Waldschule (Nature Education Centre). During this approx. 2-hour snowshoe tour, young and older will learn how the precious metal was taken out the mountain, what the miners did during the winter months and a lot of interesting information about the habitants of the winter forest will be explained.
Snowshoes are not included and can be rented from Schneesportschule Silbertal, Intersport Montafon or Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
The snowshoe hikes are offered by the pedagogically trained hiking guide "Monika" on request.
