What the miners did in winter
The Kristberg can look back on a rich history that has left its mark on the entire region.On the trail of Silbi, the mascot of the Kristberg, we will walk on snowshoes past St. Agatha miners’ chapel and up the Ganzaleita.On this approx. 2.5-hour tour, old and young alike will learn how the precious metal was mined and how it affected the lives not only of Silbi and the miners but also those of the Silbertal’s inhabitants. The secret of what the miners did during the winter months will also be revealed here.
An experience specifically for children and families, which presents one of the many secrets of the Montafon to you on a silver platter.
The family tours (the minimum number of participants is at least 1 adult and 1 child) are offered every Wednesday from 26 December 2018 to 17 April 2019 by a hiking guide trained in education. The meeting place is the valley station of the Montafon Kristbergbahn at 9.15 am. End of the tour: 12.00 noon (summit station of the Montafon Kristbergbahn)
Price: € 10.00 (€ 9.00 with guest card) for adults and € 8.00 (€ 7.00born in or after 2000 with guest card) for children - not including transport. The snowshoe equipment can be rented from Skischule Silbertal or at Panoramagasthof Kristberg for € 12.00 for adults and € 5.00 for children.
