The awakening of spring in the southernmost valley in Vorarlberg
On familiar terms with the Montafon
Nature awakens from its winter sleep. The first hikers and (e-)bikers are already being tempted by the warm rays of sunshine to go on extended tours in the mountains. All around, even at higher altitudes, it is beginning to green up and blossom again. The play of colours is particularly splendid in the alpine pastures, accompanied by the (mating) chirp of birds that begins in the early hours of the morning. The peaks of the Rätikon, Silvretta and Verwall, some of which are still covered in snow, stand out as silhouettes in contrast to the blaze of colour. From your accommodation there is an abundance of unparalleled nature, in which you’ll find your sporty spring-time challenge.
Of course, every season has its attractions. At least they do here in the Montafon. Ultimately, there’s no end of the season for us, just a simple transition from one to the next. Whether it’s hiking, climbing or (e)biking in the spring, summer and autumn, or mountain experiences in the snowy Montafon mountains in the winter. You’ll learn more about the special features and history of the valley with a local guide. And it’s always accompanied by heartfelt hospitality, because being personable is the very essence of the valley’s inhabitants. A sign of this pleasant closeness is the informal “du” that is common everywhere.
