Tour description

With the impressive peaks of Rätikon, Verwall, and Silvretta always in view, the total 45-kilometer route whets your appetite for the three culinary highlights of the tour. Regional specialties are served to you.

Approach

Take the A14 to exit Bludenz/Montafon and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Schruns, then follow the signs to the center of Schruns.

Public transport

Just leave your car at home.

The regional buses run throughout Montafon. Main lines run every half hour from Schruns station.

Train arrival to Montafon

From Bludenz station, the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partly half-hourly). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and from Bregenz.

Directions

This route focuses on a feast for the eyes and palate. From Schruns, you cycle valley inward to St. Gallenkirch and further uphill to Garfrescha and Alpe Nova. After a small refreshment, you head uphill for about 30 minutes to Nova Stoba for a cozy lunch and fellowship. Refreshed, you then go downhill back to Garfrescha and to Brunnelawirt, where a delicious dessert awaits. Filled with many beautiful impressions, you cycle the last kilometers back to Schruns.

It is recommended to travel by public transport.

It is advisable to bring a backpack with drinks as well as rain and sun protection.
