The cable car takes you from Gargellen (1,423 m) to the mountain station and the Schafberg Hüsli mountain restaurant in around 8 minutes. At the starting point of the tour, follow the "MARIE" signposts.
The trail: The joy of movement. Playing in nature. Young and old can playfully explore the Schafberg on the discovery trail. Animals want to be stroked and exciting stations discovered. The narrow path partly runs parallel to the promenade - ideal for children and families.
There are many exciting and informative stations to explore along this tour:
- Gold digging: Real gold digging atmosphere with sparkling glittering stones. Maybe they were just dyed? Or is it actually real gold that a smuggler once lost in the stream bed? Let's go on a treasure hunt!
- Gäßscherm: Gäßscherm: "Gäß" means goat in Montafon - and the "Scherm" is a stable. A hiking destination that puts you in an animal-friendly mood, because the donkeys and goats want to be fed and stroked by you.
- Balancing stones: skilfully hopping from rock to rock. Here you can climb on natural stones and find your inner balance if you manage to enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.
- Water features: A refreshing place to splash and splash around. A hollowed-out tree trunk, running water and small tubs. That's all you need for happiness on the mountain.
- Steehüsli: A hidden stone house stands in the shelter of a mighty boulder. With a little climbing skill and courage, you can discover it - and trace the stories of customs officers and smugglers.
- Jumping fun: Hopping from stone to stone, jumping and testing your balance – who can make it all the way to the finish? A playful activity station full of movement, fun and little challenges for nimble explorers.
- Panoramic swing: Swing high into the air whilst marvelling at the impressive mountain scenery. A special place to take a deep breath, daydream and linger – with a magnificent view of the beautiful natural surroundings of Gargellen.
