Timekeeping
Carried out by the company Raceresult. The gross time is measured.
The regulations and competition guidelines (mountain bike) of the Austrian Cycling Federation apply. Helmets must be worn during the entire race without exception. All participants ride at their own risk and expense.
The organizer declines all liability before, during and after the race (including towards third parties).
Race director decisions and regulations
The instructions of race officials, marshals, doctors and helpers must be followed at all times. Any external performance support is prohibited during the entire race. In the interests of the athletes' health and to ensure equal opportunities, the use of support vehicles (including mountain bikes) on the course is prohibited. Violations of the competition rules will result in disqualification. Disqualifications may be pronounced by the race management without the right of appeal in the event of breaches of the rules or grossly unsportsmanlike conduct.
The organizer reserves the right to refuse participation in the event to active participants without giving reasons.
The race organizers have the option of changing the course or stopping the race due to weather conditions.

Important information | Bicycle theft
Thankfully, there have been very few thefts in recent years. This is thanks to intensive monitoring and education by the police, as well as the vigilance of participants. However, in case of an emergency, we ask that you make a note of the brand, model, color, and frame number of your mountain bike before you arrive, or fill out the bicycle pass issued by the Federal Criminal Police Office. Information from the police.
Terms and conditions of participation & rules of conduct
Conditions for participation
- Helmets are mandatory for all participants
- Traffic regulations apply throughout the race. The roads are not closed, and traffic, pedestrians, and animals must be expected everywhere. If an athlete violates traffic regulations, they may be disqualified by the race organizers.
- Mountain bikes with mechanical assistance (e-mountain bikes, pedelecs) may not be used (exception: Montafon E-Mountainbike Genussrunde).
- Juniors are only permitted on the M1 route. See class classification for details.
- The start and end of the "feed zone" are marked with appropriate signs. No water bottles or litter may be discarded outside this area. Anyone who drops waste on the race track or throws it into the ditch, forest, or meadow will be disqualified. (Please note: this rule will be enforced by marshals "disguised" as race participants. There will be no warnings!)
Rules of conduct
- Slower cyclists must immediately make way for overtaking cyclists
- Caution must be exercised when riding on sections of the route with poor visibility
- When descending, do not just accelerate, but remain ready to brake
- Repair any defects in clear areas outside the race track
- In bad weather, every cyclist must be equipped accordingly; we are in high alpine terrain
- A map with emergency numbers must be carried during the race or stored in your phone
- First aid obligation: following riders are obliged to provide first aid and inform the nearest marshal immediately (time credits may be granted if necessary)
- Participants who finish the race early must report to a marshal or the race office to sign out.
- Organize secure storage for bikes
- The organization cannot guarantee a return service in the event of a defect; waiting times may have to be accepted. Notification via marshals or the organization management is required.
- Failure to comply with these rules will result in disqualification.

"Own" service or catering stations
As we care about the environment, this service is only permitted within the scope of or official TAZ. An Orgapass, e.g. for free use of the Kristbergbahn (TAZ 1), will be issued by the organizers when race numbers are handed out.
In addition, there is an Elite Orgapass for elite teams, which allows them to drive to TAZ 1 by car. This is a private road and failure to comply will result in a penalty. The Elite Orgapass also allows free use of the Silvretta High Alpine Road. These passes will also be issued by the organizers when race numbers are handed out.
Support along the route
The grueling race pushes athletes to their limits. Helpers provide support in emergencies and supply everything necessary before, during, and after the start. In addition to medical care along the route, a massage team from the Montafon Rehabilitation Clinic is also on hand after the race.
Medical care
Medical care for participants is provided by the Austrian Red Cross. Ambulances are also stationed at critical points along the route. In addition, a first-aid tent with a team and emergency doctor is available at the finish line to provide adequate initial treatment.
Sweep vehicle
Each route is accompanied by a broom wagon—or e-bikes and trails. Participants who give up on the route for any reason should report to the nearest marshal.
