Sustainability
Your participation protects a unique natural paradise
By taking part in the Raiffeisen Montafon Arlberg Marathon, you are supporting a sustainable project in the Verwall Natura 2000 area - one of the most valuable nature reserves in the region.
The Verwall is characterized by its fascinating diversity: Here, different habitats that are otherwise mostly separate intertwine. You walk through the largest larch and stone pine forests in Vorarlberg, discover moors, lakes, extensive mountain pine, alder and alpine rose bushes, colorful alpine meadows and impressive rocky landscapes.
Secluded and protected, the area offers a retreat for many rare animal and plant species. For example, the golden eagle, the peregrine falcon and the eagle owl are at home here - all endangered mountain birds that find their habitat in this intact nature.
By taking part, you are helping to preserve this valuable habitat - for us and for future generations.
A project close to our hearts
Participating at the Raiffeisen Montafon Arlberg Marathon not only means contributing to the event through your sporting efforts but also actively contributing to nature conservation.
Instead of a traditional participant gift, you're consciously choosing to protect a unique natural area. Participating means you're supporting a sustainable project in the Verwall Natura 2000 area – an ecological gem full of rare animal and plant species.
Thank you for walking this path with us. Not only for nature, but also the future.
Sustainability is not a trend for us, but a responsibility.
That's why we do everything we can to make the Raiffeisen Montafon Arlberg Marathon as environmentally friendly and resource-saving as possible - and to continuously develop our measures.
