Tour description
Dreamlike winter hike starting at the sun balcony of the Montafon. This route offers fantastic views but also beautiful landscapes in the immediate vicinity.
The Baroque Church Bartholomäberg is one of the most beautiful churches in Vorarlberg and highly recommended for visiting. The Baroque church is dedicated to St. Bartholomew. At the Rellseck alpine inn, there is a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain world (opening hours of the Rellseck alpine inn can be obtained at the tourist information). From the small chapel (slightly below the Rellseck alpine inn), there is a view towards Bludenz and even the Walgau region. Along the entire route, several seating areas designed like chair lifts with panoramic covers invite you to relax and enjoy a cozy snack. The landscape around the Fritzensee is a lovely spot with great views of the Montafon landmark, namely the Drei Türme at the end of the Gauertal, at any time of year. Furthermore, you are walking exclusively on historic ground. Due to its silver mining, Bartholomäberg was inhabited as the oldest settlement area in the Montafon, dating back to prehistoric times.
