Matschwitz (mid station Golmerbahn) - Maisäß settlement circular route
The Maisäß settlement Matschwitz (1,500 m) is only accessible in winter via the Golmerbahn. This circular route offers a very beautiful view of the opposite Verwall mountain range with the Rote Wand (2,704 m) and Hochjoch. To the south in the Rätikon range, the peaks Tschaggunser Mittagsspitze and Schwarzhorn (2,460 m) can be seen. Along this sunny winter hiking trail are very beautiful old Maisäß farmsteads, some of which have been converted into holiday apartments. The monument-protected chapel Matschwitz lies very idyllically. The newly renovated mountain restaurant "Haus Matschwitz" is located in the immediate vicinity. This hike is ideal for a wonderful winter hike in the mountains and to meet friends who are in the Golm ski area for lunch at "Haus Matschwitz". Excellent cuisine!
