Tour description
A challenging summit hike to the Schesaplana, the highest peak in the Rätikon, offering impressive panoramic views, including a view of the turquoise-blue Lünersee.
The Schesaplana lies directly on the border between Austria and Switzerland and, at 2,965 meters, is the highest peak in the Rätikon. On clear days, the summit offers a particularly varied panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Lake Lünersee, the turquoise-blue pearl of the Rätikon, accompanies you along much of the route.
The summit hike takes you through alpine terrain and requires sure-footedness, especially in the upper section. The ascent connects Lake Lünersee with the Totalphütte and the Schesaplana Saddle before you reach the summit. The return trip follows the same route.
