Tourbeschreibung

The legend hiking trail tells of legends and myths which often revolved around the miners who used to live at Kirstberg and Bartholomäberg in Montafon, as well as Christian events and moral transgressions. Along exciting locations in the former mining area, the path mostly runs through shady forest but also offers beautiful views into the Verwall and Silbertal.

Directions

From the mountain station of the Kristberg cable car, the path leads you left towards the Panoramic Inn Kristberg. Behind the Panoramic Inn Kristberg lies the St. Agatha chapel. Follow the narrow path left past the chapel. Now you follow the Kristbergsattel path. After a short uphill section, continue following the Kristbergsattel path until you finally reach the Kristbergsattel. Here the path leads towards Dalaas to the "Bruderhüsli" and the hermitage of Joss Erhard. After this station, you return the same way to the Kristbergsattel. From here you follow the "Silberpfad" downhill until it leads you onto a wide, well-maintained gravel road (forest road). Then follow this to the left. Repeatedly, beautiful views into the valley open up. This pleasant path goes past the Wildried viewpoint and finally to the Wildried high moor. The Wildried is the highest high moor in Europe and is home to a variety of rare plants and small animals. At Burtschabach, the path leads right downhill through the Wasserstubental to the mountain inn Hasahüsli. There are repeated opportunities to shorten the gravel road via "Waldwegle". After the mountain inn Hasahüsli, you reach the inn Fellimännle. From Fellimännle downhill, the gravel path alternates with hiking trails, passing the Teufelsbach waterfall to Silbertal center.
