Torrent Trail Vandans

On this circular walk in Vandans, you’ll experience the fascination of torrents at first hand. Whether it’s eroded gorges, small waterfalls, bridges, torrent barriers or rushing ‘Tobel’ – along the way, you’ll repeatedly come face to face with the power of the falling water. This walk is a real treat, especially on hot summer’s days, as you’re always close to the cooling water and, in places, in the shade of the forest.

Meeting point: 9:45 a.m. at the Golmerbahn Vandans valley station.

Route: Golmerbahn Vandans valley station – Landschisott – Mansaura – Montafon Natural Hazards Action Centre – Golmerbahn Vandans valley station.

Duration: approx. 4 hours (pure walking time: approx. 2.5 hours).

Ascent and descent: approx. 490 metres

Getting there: Why not just leave your car behind? Our tours are timed to coincide with the bus timetable. You can reach the meeting point by public transport via the Vandans Golmerbahn bus stop (vmobil.at). If you’re travelling by car, free parking is available at the Golmerbahn valley station car park in Vandans.

Equipment:

• Bring a backpack with food and drink, as well as rain and sun protection 
• Mountain clothing suitable for the weather, including at least one warm jacket in your rucksack 
• Hiking boots with treaded soles are essential
