Discover the Montafon together with your beloved four-legged friend
You and your dog are very welcome in the Montafon. Whether on a leisurely hike or an extended mountain tour - the Montafon mountains offer many opportunities to be active together and spend valuable time.
Please find out in advance how to behave correctly in the mountains - especially when dealing with grazing livestock - and what you need to bear in mind when interacting with dogs. This will help to ensure that encounters between people, animals and nature remain respectful and safe.
The green "Robidogs" (dog waste disposal systems) can be found on almost all walking and hiking trails in the Montafon. You can take the "dog waste bags" from there and dispose of your four-legged friend's droppings in the garbage can below or in the nearest garbage can. "Dog waste bags" are also available at the municipal offices.
Agricultural areas in particular must be kept free of dog excrement, as the cows grazing there can fall ill from dog excrement. Non-compliance can be penalized.
On the leash!
Dogs are not allowed in cemeteries, kindergarten playgrounds, school playgrounds and public sand playgrounds. Dogs must be kept on a lead in the following areas:
in the waiting area of public transport stops
on buses and trains
in public buildings and facilities
at public children's playgrounds
on cycle paths, cross-country ski trails, walking and hiking trails
on agricultural land
So kannst Du brenzlige Situationen mit Weidetieren vermeiden
Here you will find everything your faithful four-legged friend needs!
