Aktivpark Montafon – Illweg – Tschagguns – Nira – Rodund/Kaltenbrunnen – Illweg – toboggan run to Latschau (alternative Golmerbahn Section I) – Latschau – Gafazutweg (Aquaweg) – Bitschweil – Aktivpark Montafon

Approach

Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Schruns. Federal road L188 leads you directly to Aktivpark Montafon, which is on the right side of the road.

Public transport

Leave your car standing.

The regional buses operate throughout Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns train station.

Arrival by train to Montafon

From Bludenz station the Montafonerbahn runs every half hour. There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and from Bregenz.

Directions

From the starting point Aktivpark Montafon in Schruns-Tschagguns, the route leads via cycle paths to Hosensee. Furthermore, the route leads over a steep ascent (toboggan run) to Latschau. In the hilly terrain, the route continues along the Gafazutweg (Aquaweg) to Bitschweil. It then returns to the starting point via the paved, winding, and narrow Bitschweil road.

Spare battery, charger, bike helmet, day backpack (about 20 liters) with rain cover, comfortable sports shoes, possibly cycling shoes, weather-appropriate and durable clothing in layers, possibly cycling jersey, possibly cycling gloves, air pump, bike tools, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water, water bottle and suitable holder, first aid kit, pocket knife, mobile phone, possibly phone mount for the handlebar, possibly headlamp and reflectors, map material

Tips

Arrived in Latschau: Those who haven't had enough adrenaline can let loose on the Flying Fox, in the forest ropes course, or on the Alpine-Coaster Golm.
