Fixed rope route Rifa

This via ferrata circuit, which includes abseiling, in the beautifully laid-out Rifa climbing area is ideal for anyone who wants to try their hand at using a via ferrata set and climbing on rock. Even experienced climbers will find it challenging thanks to the varied route, which ranges in difficulty from A to C and features a rope bridge. You can exit the route at any time. In addition to the climbing garden, a log cabin, a water feature and a barbecue area invite you to enjoy a varied day out.

Meeting point: 09:45, 11:45 and 13:45 at the Rifa Climbing Garden, Gaschurn

Duration: approx. 1 hour 30 mins (climbing time only: approx. 45 minutes)

Getting there: Why not leave your car behind? Our tours are timed to coincide with the bus timetable. You can reach the meeting point by public transport via the ‘Klettergarten’ bus stop (vmobil.at). If you’re travelling in your own car, free parking is available at the climbing garden car park.

Uncertain weather: In wet conditions and on wet rock (due to rain in the morning), it is highly likely that climbing will not be possible (risk of slipping) – in this case, the booking will be cancelled free of charge, but no alternative date will be offered in addition to the regular dates.

Age limit: from 6 years old (minimum height 1.30 metres)

Equipment:

• Closed shoes with good grip soles 
• In cold weather, warm clothing (hat, gloves, etc.) is recommended
