Experience fishing and nature in the Montafon

With the Lünserseebahn cable car and via the Silvretta High Alpine Road, you can reach not only fantastic hiking areas in the Montafon, but also the impressive Illwerk reservoirs of Lünersee, Kops and Silvretta in just a few minutes. A special tip for anglers is the quarry pond "Roter Stein", also called "Hosasee" by locals - because of its trouser-shaped form.

Embedded in a fascinating mountain world, these waters offer a wide range of leisure activities. Although swimming is prohibited in the reservoirs, fishing is permitted and is very popular. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity of the mountains and simply unwind.

Fishing day tickets for anglers:

• Reservoirs: from 18 years of age; young people from 12 years of age only when accompanied by an adult day ticket fisherman. A maximum of four fish may be caught per day.
• "Roter Stein" quarry pond: from 16 years; youth tickets from 7 years, also only when accompanied by an adult day ticket fisherman.
• Day tickets are available at the Lünerseebahn mountain station, at the toll booths on the Silvretta High Alpine Road and at the tourist offices in Gaschurn and Partenen.
