Tour description

A scenic high-altitude hike offering views of the imposing limestone cliffs of the Rätikon and the Vandanser Steinwand, including the striking Zimba.

The Golmer Höhenweg trail winds through a diverse alpine landscape and offers repeated, breathtaking views of the Rätikon peaks. Sulzfluh, Drei Türme, Drusenfluh, and Zimba dominate the panorama and make the hike a special experience, especially during the alpine rose bloom.

On the way down, small mountain lakes, marshes, and alpine meadows alternate. The route also passes the Alpe Außergolm, a typical Montafon alp, before you return to the Golmerbahn’s mountain station.

What is the Montafon Alpine Mosaic?

The Montafon Alpine Mosaic showcases the scenic diversity of the Montafon. Four exploration areas—Verwall, Silvretta, Rätikon, and the valley—reveal how geology, nature, and the cultural landscape are interconnected.

Along 34 themed trails, you can discover the unique features of these diverse landscapes. Starting points, themes, and stories along the trails continually offer you new perspectives on the Montafon.

So: Choose an exploration area, lace up your hiking boots, and discover the diversity of the Montafon step by step.

You can find more information about the Montafon Alpine Mosaic HERE.
