Called “Erdapfel,” “Grundbirne,” “Erdbirne,” “Herdapfel,” “Grumbeere,” “Tuffel,” “Bramburi,” “Tartuffel,” “Patata,” and even “Erdbeere”: So many names for one and the same tuber? At the Grasjoch Hut, everything revolves around the potato.
At the alpine restaurant at the Grasjoch Bahn mountain station, the potato is, so to speak, brought back to the mountain regions of its origin. As the foundation of a balanced diet, the tuber moves from the edge to the center of the plate—from a side dish to the basis of delicious meals. The potatoes are lovingly served with a colorful mix of tasty toppings.
