Gargellen

Embark on an exciting exploration tour in the highest mountain village in the Montafon. Many people are already familiar with the Gargellner Fenster as a geological feature, which appear in the form of individual limestone rocks in the original primary rock massif. The new ‘Gargellen Windows’ provide a multi-layered view through all eras along a charming Maisäß landscape and allow visitors to experience the Gargellen of today in its entirety.

Meeting point: 09:45 am Gargellen cable car valley station

Route: Gargellen cable car valley station - Gitzistee - Rüti - Gargellner Fenster - Ronggalpe - Röbimaisäß - Gargellen cable car valley station

Duration: approx. 4.5 hours (pure walking time: approx. 3 hours)

Ascent and descent: approx. 370 hm

Refreshment stop: Ronggalpe (only during the alpine season)

Registration: until 19:00 the day before

Price: 20% discount with the Montafon guest card (Montafon guest card must be presented), free for guests from BergePLUS partner businesses (Montafon guest card with BergePLUS imprint must be presented)

Equipment: Bring a rucksack with food and drink as well as rain and sun protection, hiking boots with treaded soles required

The tours can take place in any weather
Route changes are possible at short notice (weather-related)
Dogs are not allowed on this tour
The hike is not possible with pushchairs or handcarts

Registration is binding. If you are still unable to take part at short notice, please cancel your booking by contacting Montafon Tourismus on +43 50 6686 or info@montafon.at so that another guest can take your place. Our hikes are organised by trained Montafon hiking guides.

Refund in case of cancellation by the customer: We ask for your understanding that a 5% cancellation fee will be retained in the event of cancellation of tours booked for a fee.

Important note: Our BergePLUS tours take place from 3 registered persons. The regular registration deadline is always the day before at 19:00. However, if the minimum number of 3 people has not been reached by 15:00 on the same day, the tour in question will be automatically cancelled and registration will no longer be possible. In this case, guests who have already booked will of course be informed by us. An exception to this rule is the children's programme - this takes place with one or more children.
