Kops lake circuit

Approach

Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to Partenen to the toll station for the Silvretta High Alpine Road. Via the Silvretta High Alpine Road, you then reach Vermuntsee and continue to Silvrettasee. (Toll required)

Via the Silvretta High Alpine Road you reach the Kops reservoir.

Public transport

Just leave your car parked

The regional buses operate throughout the Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns station.

Bus stop at the start/finish of the route: Bielerhöhe Silvrettasee / Line 650, change at Kops Gasthaus Zeinisjoch / Line 260

Arrival by train to Montafon

From Bludenz station, the Montafon railway runs hourly (sometimes every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.

Parking

At the Gasthof Zeinisjoch in Kops or directly along the lake at the marked parking spaces

Directions

The route starts at the Gasthof Zeinisjoch in Kops. The path runs directly along the lake to the kiosk/Kopsstüberl at the other end of the lake. Once there, cross the dam. Then follow the path along the lake and the light forest sections until you return to Gasthof Zeinisjoch.
