Pfarrkirche Gaschurn

A historic church in the Neo-Romanesque style, consecrated in 1869 by Bishop Franz Josef Rudigier of Linz (depicted in the church window on the left side of the transept), whose birthplace is in Partenen. Points of interest in this parish church:
Altar and ceiling paintings by the Schrunser brothers, Franz and Jakob Bertle, in the late Nazarene style.
High altar from the workshop of Fidelis Rudhart in Feldkirch (1911).
The church once had a rare pulpit in the shape of a whale featuring the prophet Jonah.
Next to the church stands the last surviving “Tanzlaube” (dance pavilion) in the Montafon, which once served as a gathering place, a venue for entertainment, and a courtroom.
