The high mountains as an inspiration

Starting August 22, nine renowned artists working in various styles and forms of expression will explore the unique characteristics of the high-Alpine landscape in the Silvretta Montafon mountain region.

Nature and mountain experiences, geomorphology, alpinism, and cable car technology are just a few of the themes that will inform the artistic process here. The “Nova Stoba” mountain restaurant, located next to the Versettla Bahn’s upper station at over 2,000 meters above sea level, serves as the artists’ base camp. From there, they can set out on their excursions into the alpine landscape and then, inspired by their creative experiences, get to work. From acrylic painting to woodcut, watercolor, and drawing, photography, and sculpture, to object and conceptual art, land art, and video, the SilvrettAtelier Montafon offers ample space for every form of artistic expression.

The SilvrettAtelier is taking place for the fifteenth time, and for the sixth time on the Versettla. This format of a recurring high-mountain art symposium is unique and has long since established itself in the art scene.
