Tourbeschreibung

A varied high mountain route in the Rätikon. With a breathtaking view, it goes over the Gafalljoch on the Swiss side to the Carschinahütte.
Approach

Leave the highway at Bludenz/Bürs and follow the signs towards Brandenertal. Follow the L82 until you finally arrive at the Lünerseebahn. The road ends at the Lünerseebahn. From here, you must take the Lünerseebahn (gondola) to the mountain station.

The regional buses of Montafonerbahn operate throughout Montafon. The main lines run hourly from Schruns station.

From Schruns station, take the train to Bludenz station. From there, take bus line 81 to the Lünerseebahn in Brand. The stop is: "Lünerseebahn." Return the same way with bus line 81 to Bludenz station. Then take the train back to Schruns station.

Arrival by train

The Montafonerbahn runs hourly (sometimes every half hour) from Bludenz station. There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.

Directions

The stage starts at the dam and you circle the remaining part of the Lünersee. Passing the Alpe Lünersee again, the path leads you up to the Gafalljoch (2,239 m). Welcome to Switzerland. From here, you can already see the Carschinahütte in the distance.

You follow the Prätigauer Höhenweg past the Kirchlispitzen, past the Swiss Gate, further below the Drei Türme to below the Drusentor. From here, it is not far to the Carschinahütte.
