Wintersportausstellung Tschagguns

The Montafon Winter Sports Exhibition traces the long history of skiing and winter sports in the Montafon. Numerous unique artifacts recall the pioneering days of skiing, the region’s most famous ski racers, and the development of skiing techniques and ski lifts. The earliest evidence of skiing in the region dates back to 1895, and the first winter sports clubs were founded in Schruns and Tschagguns in 1906 and 1907.

The Tschagguns Winter Sports Collection, which forms the basis of the exhibition, was compiled over decades by Helmut Marent. In 2022, Helmut Marent graciously donated this valuable piece of Montafon’s cultural heritage to the Montafon Museums.
