Hike along the Seetalweg at Hochjoch

This scenic circular walk takes you through the stunning landscape of the Hochjoch, characterised by deep-blue mountain lakes, lush alpine meadows and sweeping views. From the mountain station, the route initially climbs up to the Sennigrat and, passing the Wormser Hut, descends into the idyllic Seetal valley with its striking lakes and tranquil natural surroundings. Time and again, views open up of the Verwall, Silvretta and Rätikon ranges, as well as towards the Arlberg and the Rote Wand, and sometimes even as far as the Säntis. With a bit of luck, you may also spot shy Alpine wildlife such as ibex, chamois or marmots.

Route: Kapell mountain station – Wormser Hütte – Seetal – Kapell mountain station

Getting there: Why not leave your car behind? Our tours are timed to coincide with the bus timetable. You can reach the meeting point by public transport via the ‘Talstation Hochjoch Bahn Schruns’ bus stop (vmobil.at). If you’re travelling by car, paid parking spaces are available at the Hochjoch Bahn Schruns valley station car park.

Equipment:

• Bring a backpack containing food and drink, as well as rain and sun protection 
• Hiking boots with treaded soles are essential 
• Mountain clothing suitable for the weather; at least one warm jacket in your backpack
• Hiking poles, if required
