Alpine climbing near the hut: a variety of routes and opportunities to practice right by the Wormser Hut.

The DAV Worms climbing area is located just about five minutes from the Wormser Hütte. At an altitude of just under 2,300 meters, an alpine climbing area awaits, designed to accommodate a variety of climbing styles. In addition to easily accessible routes near the hut, climbers will also find opportunities here to practice using portable belay devices or gain their first experience with multi-pitch routes.

The routes were established with the natural rock structures in mind and were later expanded. This has created a versatile terrain that combines both sport climbing and alpine training. Depending on the route, the protection, character, and difficulty vary significantly. Careful preparation, realistic self-assessment, and alpine experience are therefore particularly important.

Even though the climbing area is located near the hut, you are still in high-alpine terrain here. You must have your own climbing gear, helmet, harness, weatherproof clothing, and be proficient in rappelling and belaying techniques. Equipment cannot be rented on site. Use of the area is at your own risk and responsibility.
