Tour description
The legend hiking trail tells of legends and myths which often revolved around the miners who used to live at Kirstberg and Bartholomäberg in Montafon, as well as Christian events and moral transgressions. Along exciting locations in the former mining area, the path mostly runs through shady forest but also offers beautiful views into the Verwall and Silbertal.
Silbertal is a mysterious and legendary side valley of Montafon. For centuries, people have told Montafon legends and thus carry the past into the present.
On this very scenic and mystical hiking trail, you embark on a very special journey into the Silbertal world of legends. Discover what the Bergknappenkapelle is about, how the Petrus keys came into the Montafon coat of arms, and where the Teufelsbach got its name from. You will discover mysterious places like the Bruderhüsli in the Dalaas forest, the Wildried high moor, the Stieralpe, and other legendary places.
But you will also enjoy culinary delights on this hike. The Panoramic Inn Kristberg, the snack station Hasahüsli, and the alpine inn Fellimännle spoil you with regional specialties along the path.
