The route combines hiking, nature experience, and culinary delights. The starting point of the summit route is the mountain station of the Kristbergbahn. High up, the path leads relaxed through the mining-shaped landscape. Through the mystical Muttwald, past blueberry bushes and alpine roses, the route leads to Muttjöchle with wonderful views of the Montafon mountains and the Arlberg.
Approach
On the A14, take the Bludenz/Montafon motorway exit and follow the L188 into Montafon. After crossing the railway line, turn left at the next junction. Now follow the road to the roundabout. From here follow the signs to Silbertal to the parking lot opposite the Kristbergbahn.

Country buses run throughout Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns train station.

Equipment
Day hiking backpack (approx. 20 liters) with rain cover, sturdy and comfortable footwear, weather-appropriate and durable clothing in layers, if necessary telescopic poles, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water, first aid kit, pocket knife, mobile phone, if necessary headlamp, map material.
