The Montafon Alpine Mosaic showcases the scenic diversity of the Montafon. Four exploration areas—Verwall, Silvretta, Rätikon, and the valley—reveal how geology, nature, and the cultural landscape are interconnected.

Along 34 themed trails, you can discover the unique features of these diverse landscapes. Starting points, themes, and stories along the trails continually offer you new perspectives on the Montafon.

Starting point
Tschagguns, Golmerbahn Mountain Station (Grüneck)

Directions
From the Golmerbahn mountain station, the trail first takes you on a leisurely stroll along Golmi’s Nature Trail. At the interactive stations, you’ll learn interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the Montafon.

The trail then continues to the Golm Forest Slide Park, where you’ll zip down to Latschau. There, you can round out your hike with other adventure activities such as the Flying Fox, the forest rope course, or the Alpine Coaster Golm.

Getting to the Starting Point
The starting point for the tour is the Golmerbahn Berstation (Grüneck). Please note the Golmerbahn’s operating hours.

By public transportation:
The Montafon regional bus and the Montafonerbahn provide convenient and flexible travel throughout the valley. Trains and buses run regularly between the towns, every half hour or every hour depending on the route. You can find your connection HERE. Bus stop at the start/end of this tour: Latschau Golmerbahn

By car:
Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit, then follow the Montafonerstraße L188 to Tschagguns. From Tschagguns, you’ll reach the higher-elevation village of Latschau. Parking is available at the Golmerbahn.

For the hike, we recommend wearing shoes with good traction and appropriate clothing. Depending on the weather, you should also bring sunscreen and rain gear.

If you’d like to make your trip even more exciting, there are plenty of other adventures to enjoy in Latschau: Cross the lake on the Flying Fox, soar high above the forest at the forest rope park, and zoom down into the valley toward Vandans on the Alpine Coaster Golm. These additional activities are not included in the hiking pass and cost extra.
