The Montafon Alpine Mosaic showcases the scenic diversity of the Montafon. Four exploration areas—Verwall, Silvretta, Rätikon, and the valley—reveal how geology, nature, and the cultural landscape are interconnected.

Along 34 themed trails, you can discover the unique features of these diverse landscapes. Starting points, themes, and stories along the trails continually offer you new perspectives on the Montafon.

Starting Point
Schruns, Sports Field / Activity Park

Directions
From the Montafon Activity Park, first follow the sign toward St. Gallenkirch. After about 400 meters, the path branches off to the right toward the Tschagguns ski jump complex. At the main road, you’ll see the ski jump facility on the opposite side of the street. Then walk back along the same path to the bike path.

Once you reach the bike path, follow it to the right, past the golf course. After a while, you’ll reach a pedestrian bridge and cross the Ill River. On the other side, the walking path leads you back toward the Aktivpark. Along the way, you’ll pass the Zamang Bahn valley station and the soccer stadium.

Stay on this side of the Ill until you reach the parking lot across from the Sutterlüty. There, cross the pedestrian bridge and turn left immediately afterward onto the Ill Bike Path. Passing the Negrelli Fountain and the Vorarlberg School Sports Center, the trail leads you back to the Aktivpark. Just before the finish, you’ll see the Alpenbad Montafon on your right.

Getting to the Starting Point
The starting point for the tour is the Aktivpark Montafon in Schruns-Tschagguns.

By public transportation:
The Montafon regional bus and the Montafonerbahn provide convenient and flexible travel throughout the valley. Trains and buses run regularly between the towns, every half hour or every hour depending on the route. You can find the right connection HERE. Bus stop at the start/end of this tour: Schruns Sportplatz / Aktivpark

By car:
Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit, then follow the Montafoner Straße L188 to Schruns-Tschagguns. The L188 leads directly to the Aktivpark Montafon. Free parking is available at the park.

For the walk, we recommend wearing comfortable, sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

Along the route, you'll find several places to take a short break. The Negrelli Fountain, in particular, is a great spot to linger.
