Your start in Klosters ​|​ 3​-​day Madrisa round trip

Discover the Madrisa circular tour, which takes you on a three-day journey along historic trails at an altitude of over 2,000 meters through the majestic Rätikon massif. This high-altitude hike not only offers breathtaking natural experiences and impressive views, but also the opportunity to explore and overcome your personal limits. Your adventure begins at the mountain station in Madrisaland above the Swiss monastery and takes you over the impressive Schlappinerjoch to Gargellen in Austria. After spending the night in this idyllic village, you take the Schafbergbahn railway to the mountain station the next day and continue hiking over the St. Antönier Joch to the Swiss village of the same name. A restful night in this charming village will give you strength for the last leg of your journey. On the third day, the Madrisa Tour takes you over the spectacular Rätschenjoch, where magnificent panoramic views and a fascinating high mountain landscape await you. Enjoy the majestic views as you hike back to Madrisaland before finally returning to Klosters on the Madrisabahn.

Equipment

Mountain-appropriate equipment includes a hiking map, hiking boots with treaded soles, hiking poles, a well-stocked first aid kit and, if necessary, a bivouac sack, a headlamp, provisions, rain gear, and warm clothing.

Remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses with adequate UV protection. In case of emergencies, make sure your cell phone battery is charged. If necessary, pack a mobile charging station.
