Where smugglers once plied their trade, today well-maintained trails offer you a unique nature experience that will leave a lasting impression.The one-day round trip follows marked Alpine trails from the Gargellen mountain railway station over the Gafierjoch pass to Madrisa Land above the Swiss monastery. ou will need to be fit and athletic, but you will be rewarded with unique views. During the seven-hour hike in a high alpine setting, you may reach your limits. Equipment

Mountain-appropriate equipment includes a hiking map, hiking boots with treaded soles, hiking poles, a well-stocked first aid kit and, if necessary, a bivouac sack, a headlamp, provisions, rain protection, and warm clothing.

Remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses with adequate UV protection. In case of emergencies, make sure your cell phone battery is charged. If necessary, pack a mobile charging station.
