Gaglaweg Schruns

In the Montafon dialect, “Muntafuner Gaglaweg” means something like “Montafon Children’s Trail.” For your adventure, you’ll need the Gaglaweg backpack. You can rent one for a deposit at one of our tourist information offices or citizen service centers. Inside, you’ll find everything you need for your hike.
A unique puzzle awaits you on every Gaglaweg trail. Once you’ve solved it, you’ll receive a small gift. You can also purchase one of eleven Erna souvenir jars at a special price of €4.00. Each trail is dedicated to a different theme and takes you through the diverse landscape of the Montafon.

Starting Point
At Kirchplatz in Schruns

Directions
From the church square in Schruns, follow Silvrettastraße into the valley. After passing the cemetery, turn left onto Bergbahnstraße. Then take the footpath that leads across the meadow and continue straight ahead on Kaiserlindeweg.

At the end of the path, turn left and walk along the terraced house, then take the next left. Follow this path until you reach Schruns Church.

At the Kur-Apotheke, turn right onto Dorfstraße and follow it across the bridge. Then turn left at Kronengasse, cross the street, and follow the pedestrian path. Cross the next bridge to switch sides of the river again, then head back the way you came.

As soon as you reach Außerlitzstraße, turn right and walk toward the tourist information office or the Schruns train station. From there, continue along the path toward the cathedral. At the next intersection, turn left and continue straight ahead. Shortly afterward, you’ll return to your starting point, the church square in Schruns.

Getting to the Starting Point
The starting point for the tour is the “Am Kirchplatz” location in Schruns

By public transportation:
With the Montafon regional bus and the Montafonerbahn, you can get around the valley comfortably and flexibly. Trains and buses run regularly between the towns, every half hour or every hour depending on the route. You can find the right connection for you HERE. By car:
Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on the Montafonerstraße L188 to Schruns. After crossing the railroad tracks, turn left at the next intersection and follow the road toward Schruns Train Station. Parking spaces are available in the underground garage between Schruns Train Station and the Schruns Tourist Information Office. The first 90 minutes are free; after that, parking is subject to a fee.

The MAP Cellar Gallery and the Kunstforum Montafon regularly host national and international exhibitions. The Kunstforum Montafon also offers art classes and creative workshops for children and teenagers on a regular basis.
