Montafon hut circuit | Tilisunahütte to Lindauer Hütte
Tour description
A short but challenging hike from hut to hut through the heart of the Rätikon, offering stunning views of Sulzfluh, the Drei Türme, and Drusenfluh.
This stage takes you through the striking limestone landscape of the Rätikon. Around the Tilisuna Hut, Lake Tilisuna, the Tilisuna Seehorn, and the Weißplatte define the landscape. As you ascend to the Schwarze Scharte, the Schwarzhorn with its dark rock comes into view, before a sweeping vista opens up over the Gauertal valley, featuring the Drei Türme, the Drusenfluh, and the Sulzfluh.
The subsequent trail over the Bilkengrat leads through alpine terrain. On a section about 100 meters long, safety ropes provide support in exposed areas. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are absolutely essential here.

Tilisuna Hut
Directions
From the Tilisuna Hut, the trail first leads you briefly uphill to the Schwarze Scharte. From there, it continues along the Bilkengrat toward the Gauertal. The upper section of the ridge is partially exposed and secured with a safety rope. Surefootedness and a head for heights are required here. With impressive views of the Sulzfluh, the Drei Türme, and the Drusenfluh, the trail then leads you downhill to the Lindauer Hut.

Getting to the Starting Point
The starting point for the tour is the Tilisuna Hut.
By public transportation:
The Montafon regional bus and the Montafonerbahn provide convenient and flexible travel throughout the valley. Trains and buses run regularly between the towns, every half hour or every hour depending on the route. You can find the right connection HERE. The bus stop for the hike to the Tilisuna Hut is Latschau Golmerbahn. From there, the rest of the hike to the Tilisuna Hut is on foot.
By car:
Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit, then follow the Montafoner Straße L188 to Tschagguns. From Tschagguns, you’ll reach the higher-elevation town of Latschau. Parking is available at the Golmerbahn valley station. From there, the rest of the hike to the Tilisuna Hut is on foot. For a multi-day hike, you can also park your car in the underground garage at the Löwen Hotel in Schruns for up to one week. Important Information
Alpine trail: The trail may include safety ropes and handholds. A surefootedness and a head for heights are especially required on the Bilkengrat.
Sturdy footwear with good traction is particularly important for this alpine stage.
Tips
Due to high demand at the huts, we recommend that you reserve accommodations well in advance directly with the respective huts.
