Tour description
A varied mountain hike in the Verwall region featuring some steep ascents, tranquil mountain lakes, and breathtaking views above the tree line.
On this hike, you’ll discover various aspects of the Verwall region. Above the Innerkapellalpe, the landscape opens up, offering views of the surrounding mountains. The Schwarzsee and Herzsee lakes, in particular, are impressive highlights of the tour.
There’s also a place to stop for a break: At the Innterkapellalpe, which is open to the public and features an alpine dairy, you can buy regional alpine products right on the spot. You’ll find additional places to stop for a break at the Seetalhüsli—which is only open seasonally—as well as in Silbertal.

Directions
From Silbertal, the trail first takes you to the Innerkapellalpe. From here, you continue hiking above the tree line toward Schwarzsee.
From Schwarzsee, the tour continues to Herzsee at the foot of the Hochjoch. It then proceeds through the Seetal valley to the Wormser Hut on the Hochjoch.

By public transportation:
With the Landbus Montafon and the Montafonerbahn, you can travel comfortably and flexibly throughout the valley. The train and bus connect the towns regularly, every half hour or every hour depending on the route. You can find the right connection HERE. By car:
Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit, then follow the L188 into the Montafon valley until you reach Schruns. There are parking options where you can leave your car for several days. Important Information
Part of the trail follows steep paths and is rarely used. Starting at the Innerkapellalpe, you’ll be above the tree line.
For this hike, we recommend sturdy hiking boots and weather-appropriate clothing.
Tips
Due to high demand at the huts, we recommend that you reserve accommodations early by contacting the respective huts directly.
It’s a great idea to stop for a break at the Innerkapellalpe, which is open to the public. There, you can also buy alpine products right on the spot.
