Waterfall via ferrata in St​.​ Anton im Montafon

The Wasserfall via ferrata is located just above the centre of St. Anton im Montafon. Although this via ferrata is considered easy to access, it should not be underestimated. There are easy sections (difficulty level B/C) as well as two vertical and exposed key sections (difficulty level C/D) in the via ferrata. There is no emergency exit. The highlights are two suspension bridges over thundering waterfalls, fantastic views and a vertical rock face. Appropriate arm strength, a head for heights and knowledge of via ferrata climbing are essential!

Meeting point: Via Ferrata car park in St. Anton im Montafon (approx. 200 metres from the railway station, walk along the road towards Bludenz)

Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours (pure climbing time: approximately 1.5 hours)

Registration: by 7:00 p.m. the day before

Price: 20% discount with the Montafon guest card (Montafon guest card must be presented). Free for guests from BergePLUS partner establishments (Montafon guest card with BergePLUS imprint must be presented)

Equipment: Closed shoes with good tread soles; warm clothing (hat, gloves, etc.) is recommended in cold temperatures.

Uncertain weather: In wet weather and on wet rock (due to rain in the morning), climbing is highly unlikely to take place (risk of slipping) – in this case, the booking will be canceled free of charge, but there will be no alternative date in addition to the regular dates.

• By Public Transportation: Get off at St. Anton i. M. station (vmobil.at)

• By Car: Take the B188 towards Bludenz until you reach St. Anton i.M., pass Davenna Imbiss and you will find the via ferrata car park on the right-hand side (only a few spaces available).
