The unique geography at the end of the valley shields the village from the hustle and bustle of the world. Doris from the Hotel Bradabella describes Gargellen as a “little corner of the world where all the turmoil and hustle and bustle of this world haven’t reached yet.” This sheltered location also brings the village community close together. It’s a genuine sense of community where everyone knows and appreciates one another.

The magic of Gargellen can’t be confined to a single month, but every season has its own deep charm. For Amélie, May is the most beautiful time of year:“I love this time of year, when nature awakens after winter and the contrast between the green valley and the white peaks becomes palpable. Shortly after that, the village takes on a magic all its own in early summer.”
